Planning permission in South Kensington
We have just received planning permission from Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council for the redevelopment of a mews property in London.
Located in one of London’s many iconic mews streets, Queen’s Gate Place Mews – a quiet and light cobbled mews – our plans for a new basement extension and internal remodelling of a mews house look to create a wonderful family home.
New living spaces will be created by the basement extension along with glass floor openings on the ground floor to admit borrowed light to the basement. We always set out to find effective solutions to bring natural light into a home, avoiding the need for artificial light, where possible.
Mindful of the property’s location, part of Kensington’s ‘Queen’s Gate’ Conservation Area, the design proposal for this mews house has no external manifestations and so won’t affect the character or appearance of the Conservation Area.
We can’t wait to start on site!
